Today, 1 Begins in July 2011, the annual slaughter of fur seals on South African beaches of Namibia. The Namibian seal hunt is the world's second largest after the Canadian seal hunt. In Namibia, two colonies of sea lions is one of The South African fur seals over the next 139 days bejagt.In 91,000 young South African fur seals are killed.The frightened young are separated from their mothers and brutally murdered – mainly for their fur. In addition, about 6,000 adult male fur seals are killed. These have to die because of their genitals, which are sold as aphrodisiacs by Aisen.

Due to EU-wide ban on trade in the last year the price for sealskins from Namibia plummeted.

Observers are not allowed because you obviously want to hide the cruelty from the public. A journalist who had filmed at the public beach, was already in prison.
