With binoculars, underwater microphone and fine plankton nets sailed the ocean conservation organization OceanCare with a group of volunteers spent the summer months along the coasts of southern France. Under the guidance of scientifically trained instructors the participants try to sight whales and dolphins and to record the sounds.So that the organization aims to make an active contribution to marine research in the Mediterranean. At the same time, participants should be aware of the endangered habitat of the Mediterranean. Christian Heuss has accompanied the research activities during a week.
